I am sitting here somewhat stunned that our first born child will be graduating high school tomorrow. Today is a difficult day. This past Sunday (February 26th), my wife’s father, Larry Shogren, passed away and went to be with his Lord and savior peacefully at home. And today we’re celebrating his incredible life. When I first met Larry just over 20 years ago, I have to say I was somewhat intimidated by him especially as I desired to marry his baby daughter. But within a short time his hard outer shell showed signs of cracking and before long I was welcomed into the family. He had a huge love of animals, more specifically, large horses but that love was completely overshadowed by the love he had for his family which was equally as large.
